Does anyone know how to track your app with the Applicant ID. Columbia never sent me an Applicant ID, and I was wondering how I could obtain one.

I never got one either so last night I sent an email to ugrad-ask@columbia.edu and they replied saying that I should have received it in the mail, but they gave it to me in that email so now I can finally check my status online. Yay.

Just send them a short email. They respond pretty quickly.

If you applied for paper, sometimes you have to call/email them for the ID.

However, if you applied online, the ID is within a very non-important looking letter CU sent you thanking you for completing part I. It's almost at the middle-end of the e-mail.

lindsaylujh, would you mind telling me where you found that e-mail address?

delfire, I checked my email today, and the letter that you are talking about only mentions the applicant ID. It does not tell you what your ID number is; it only says:

You will need a Columbia applicant ID number to track your application from this site. Your ID number will be included in the acknowledgement letter which will be e-mailed to you after your application is processed. You should allow up to 30 days for such acknowledgment to reach you.

collegeperson, the email subject should read "CU Acknowledgement".

It contains your personal information and also asks you if there are any errors.

Hmm.. I haven't received it then.

Someone on this site gave it to me. I couldn't find one anywhere on the website. Other than that, I've never received any email or letter from Columbia.
