bump! come on --- i know some people are applying to this amazing school:)

S (WildChild) applied for Bryan Scholar consideration, so the application had to be in Sept. 20. He did not make finalist (not a surprise), but the application for RD is done and in. He has not visited Davidson yet (he is a recruited athlete) so he doesn't really have a feel for where it ranks on his list, although he thinks he wants a bigger school. He has 1410/2060, taking ACT this Saturday.

bump bump bump.

As a parent, I find these rosters rather silly. And as a parent who has read and posted on CC for nearly two years, I can tell you that Davidson has a pretty low profile on these boards (except when it gets caught up in one of those "preppy/conservative" controversies, which are also somewhat artificial). It's a fine school and as you know accepts about 25% of its applicants. From your earlier posts you seem like a good candidate, but I think you are wasting time trying to compile a list of what is in fact a very small segment of the applicant pool in any case. If you want to know more about the school your best source is Davidson itself, with a good Web site and friendly studnets and staff who can answer questions.

I might apply. I still haven't decided between Davidson and Swarthmore, although I may apply to both.

Hey, I'm applying ED
SAT: 2290, My school doesn't have a GPA but it's around a 3.6 at an extremely competitive high school, ECs bleh

hey y'all!
Bill, keep us updated how it goes:)
IB, I hope you end up applying...! Are you applying to any schools in NC?

I think I will. I'm also applying to NC State (admitted) and Chapel Hill (applied EA) in-state; the rest are oos.

I'm applying ED!!

1480 on the SAT; National Merit Commended; Young Scholars Program last summer; president of 2 clubs, 4 yrs of sailing and youth group; teach youth group and taekwon do etc, i'm only in second decile cause kids in my school are crazy, 4.5 GPA weighted; What are EC's?

Add my daughter to the RD roster - SAT 2250, rank 38/~1250, 4.6GPA (W). (Silverflare - she loves to sail also)

Davidson was the first college my son visited over a year ago and remains one of his top two choices. SAT 2230, 4.0, All-State musician, 2 Varsity sports, works as tennis coach summers, essay contest winner.

Just thought ya'll might like to know, the decions for Davidson ED 1 will be posted online on the 10th of december at about 10AM. Did anyone else here apply ED 1?

I just send in all my materials for RD, but good luck silver!:) Keep us posted! Has anyone else applied for the Cornwell scholarship?

No, but I applied RD a couple days ago. :)

I really wish I was an ED candidate so I would know by December! :(

meeeee too! april is so far away.

Just out of curiosity, Why did you submit your application materials so soon? I send my ED stuff in on the deadline! :/

It's better not to put it off. I learned that the hard way when I was trying to put together my Chicago EA app right before the deadline. :(
