Applicants for Next Year

17/M/TN
I'll apply RD.

writ on the transom... i'm not nearly as industrious as you... i just put my mail in a shoebox... and at least uchicago doesnt have prefects like my school...

17/f/MO
I'll apply ED, if my ACT scores are where I want them to be in Sept!
I remember my mom dragging to me visit U-Chi last summer and the whole way up I kept thinking what a waste of time it would be and that I would never go there. THEN, I took one look at the campus and every single perverse thought disappeared. It's definitely my top choice now.

UChicago does not offer an ED option for applying, though they do offer EA, which would be your best bet.

btw, U of Chicago cares way more about your essay than ure scores...you are doing fine with a 28+

im applying EA at chicago and maybe georgetown

16/female/DC

I would apply EA if I weren't an international-on-paper in need of financial aid. We're not allowed. :(

The 50% range at Chicago for ACT scores is around 28-32, I believe, so a 28+ is exactly where you want to be.

Here is a little finer grain ACT breakdown.

Enrolled student ACT profiles:
30-36 61%
26-29 27%
21-25 11%

looks like im in that 11 percent now.... i will def. be retaking

personally, July 12th is Christmas come early for 2006.

guys - im F/17 from Miami. not even the city, just the suburbs of BFE ), southwest of nowhere - its pathetic!!! i NEED chicago (and early, too)

every time i go to those state & national competitions tho, im inspired & awed by the ppl i meet there. It makes me kinda scared that i wont get in... =( wish a prospie UChic premed luck!

I'm 17/f and from Rochester, Minnesota. I'm going to apply EA. Uchi is my top choice. :D

17/F/Long Island, NY

I just looked through this thread, and it brought back those days of applying to colleges and writing those essays, hoping they would do me justice and aid in the admissions process. Best of luck to all of you! I hope each and every one of you is accepted to the U. of C.

Oh, how sweet! Thanks.
Oh, I got my application last week too. I'm going to do the Alice in Wonderland essay. It sounds really interesting.
