Applicants for the Class of 2010

Who is going to apply and what are your stats?

Me!

But I'm not going to post stats. It's still the end of junior year, anyway, they are happily not solidified in black ink on an application yet!

I'm going to apply too. Don't really have any stats yet, maybe after April 11th.

oh man...deja vu

this time junior year my stats were:
1360 SAT
780 Math IIc
650 Writing

I got my writing up in may, got my SAT score up in october, and did my physics SAT II in November. I was admitted. So, if you now have similar, you could be on the right track; too early to tell! Good luck guys.

i might apply;; haven't finalized my college list though..

wow you juniors don't lose time - good! I made the mistake of waiting till October of senior year to take SATII's. Bad move. I'm going to try to convince my sister to apply. lol. i already know what will happen. HINT: she wants to be a nurse.

hey guys. whats up? only in 7th grade here...i know you think i am a bit bizzare.....i am home schooled after all, stereotypical i know. but, i took a practice SAT this past weekend and i got a 1590....flawless math section (how could i come here without that?!?!). I just love math...maybe even more then my cats....hmm maybe not that much, but who really knows. anyways do you guys have any advice...id love nothing more than four years of bliss at MIT. what should i do over the next five years in order to get myself in the most favorable position? thanks guys and god bless.

i'm speechless. Congratulations, really. Work hard in school - don't worry about college yet. Do what you want to do - as long as its constructive. Follow your passions and develop them. Do what you like to do to the best of your ability. Am I being too general? If you like guitars, learn to play the guitar really well and start a band. if you like cats, study their behavior, dissect them(maybe not), make a monument to cats and donate it to your local art museum. get it? I wish you the best of luck, Mockingbird.

thanks, hikkifan, your words mean a lot. Sorry to bother you, with just one more question. I am fairly active in my local community center's wildlife preservation program. Do you suggest pursuing such an extra curricular activity? Is this the kind of thing colleges are looking for?

SWMockingbird, it's interesting that you just posted your acceptance on the Princeton board "with a great financial aid package." And also on the parent's forum where you claim you are a foster child who just got into "a top university."
Just goes to show you can't believe all you read here.

I call shenanigans on SWMockingbird. See http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?p=623440#post623440

i dont understand what he gets out of such post, is he a pathological liar

Today is April Fools Day, after all.

i'm applying probably... stats... maybe after apr 11 they'll look better
1490 sat I 800 690 split (guess the math) 800,740,690 sat II's rank 24/410
4.6ish w gpa...

1590 in 7th grade? wishful and untrue thinking...

BTW, im applying too

also, i know ive asked this in several places already and i apologize for sounding like a broken record, but is there any idea of how many applicants have taken math through multivariable or diff. equations?

figured this would be a good place to ask, directly from other applicants...

not over here its the 2nd of april

well anyhow call me old fashioned but I believe aprils fools prank should have a comedic element

when he posted it was apr 1st

I'm a junior now, but I haven't taken any standardized tests yet. I think I am taking SAT I in May, and the rest in June. I have been taking practice tests; does anyone else think they are way too long? I found myself almost not caring at the end.

I also plan to apply, though don't have many test results yet. 35 ACT, taking SATI in may and SAT II in june. Got 232 PSAT, and will be taking multivariable/linear algebra senior year. rank 1/300ish, with 4.0 uw. Hopefully I can do well on SAT's/APs in the coming months.
