Applicants from US High Schools

I finished uploading everything that McGill told me to a few days ago (on Minerva), and it currently says my application is "Ready for Review."

However, I am a little confused because it says that for high school students from the US, the admission results come BY March 27. I have also applied for a program which requires me to take an English Language Proficiency Test (though I am from the States), and apparently my decision cannot be made without it.

I have yet to be contacted--if it is passed the March 27th date, does that mean I'm rejected?

They still have 3 weeks to send you their decision.

Do you submit your homeworks 3 weeks in advance?

Haha, ok  I get your point. Yeah, I should just wait.

By the way, does McGill only look at test scores and GPA to admit students from the US? That’s what it looked like from the application. While I believe my scores do qualify, I think that isn’t a really great way to choose their class. Has anyone sent in extra materials?

I sent in a letter explaining that I chose to take a gap year to study abroad in France for a year, and that I was receiving no official grades and that I was not passing the BAC while I am here, but other than that, I didn’t send in any extra materials.

If your sat reading scores are above a certain level, then you are waived from the English proficiency tests. Mcgill and most Canadian schools focus mostly on test scores and gpas. Im from the states too and I didn’t really send anything extra in… Hope this helps!

Thanks for the replies. I won’t be sending anything extra, then.
Meowmix- the only reason why I need to take the English test is because the ESL/Integrated Education Studies program requires it.
