@puckpusher that sounds like good news to me. Maybe they’ve already decided to admit you and are just trying to finalize which of your transfer courses they’ll credit. I’m in a similar situation as I’m also a transfer student. The last document I uploaded to them was an updated transcript from my currently enrolled university on January 27th then my file went under review shortly after that. I think I’ll hear something in the next few days.
(Canadian student) My app has been reviewed for a while, applied for life sci but at Trinity so that might be why? Pretty sure my average higher than needed for life sci.
@ghvan99 I would expect Trinity applications to take a bit longer than normal due to the supplemental portion. Also, it’s one of the most competitive colleges within UTSG. Nonetheless, I think many of us will be getting our decisions within the next few business days (either by this weekend or sometime next week). I am basing this on the fact that U of T normally releases a large batch of decisions late March/early April.
When we called after the long delay we were told that admissions hadn’t forwarded a large amount of applications to enrollment. Acceptance to St George came the next day so a phone call might help.
Thanks for that advice @Reprochic
Hey guys, I’ve been told that a decision will be made on my application this upcoming week. I’ll keep you guys posted.
I think many of you will also be getting your admission decisions within the next few business days. If you had applied last year or by January of this year, early April is around the time when you should be expecting admission decisions from U of T if you have not already received one.
@NewCanadian Thanks for posting the update. I sure hope we hear this coming week.
Has anyone heard anything? My application is still “under review”. I thought I would have received an update this week, but the wait continues for me it seems.
@NewCanadian I’m still waiting too…
Absolutely nothing. It’s laughable, especially for us Torontonians who have excellent grades. I’m not worried, since UofT was always my last choice and I was lucky enough to get into some amazing (and affordable!) schools, but it sucks for people for whom UofT is their first choice.
I know it definitely sucks having to wait this long. They are my first choice however. I’ve already received offers from Ryerson and York.
Hopefully we hear something this week…
hey guys! I’m a domestic Canadian applicant (not from Ontario though) and I’ve applied to life sciences at UTSG, but still haven’t heard anything back yet. I was wondering if admissions for domestic students should have come out yet? also, i saw on another thread that CS at UTSG was full and people are starting to get declined because the program is at its capacity, do any of you know whether its like this for life sciences too?
ahh freaking out cause UTSG is my first choice!!
guys pls help me i’m FREAKING out!!!
I heard that someone who applied to St George got declined very recently for A&S because it was full, but was accepted to UTSC and UTM. It may be full but I would wait until you hear back.
@lunamir do you know what major that person applied for? I know that CS is part of A&S at UTSG, but since I applied for life sciences, I’m curious as to life sciences specifically. Thank you for replying though, I really appreciate it! & Congrats on getting accepted to UTSC and UTM!
@lostinlife2021 thanks, but it was not me who was accepted to the other two campuses, it was a friend. I think he applied for social sciences. Good luck!
@lostinlife2021 when did you submit your application and what date was it considered complete?
This is the timeline for 105 Applicants generally given on the Join U of T portal:
“Offers to 105 applicants are made on an ongoing basis. It can take several weeks (approximately eight) after we’ve received and processed your documents to make an admissions decision. Keep checking Status Check for updates to your file. Please note that it may take 6-8 weeks from when we’ve received a completed application to receive an admissions decision.”
i submitted all of my documents in early february…
OK for reference, I submitted my application in late November and my file was officially considered complete in late January and went under review in early February.
