Applicants with "view decision" status

Hey everyone!
For everyone who has the "view decision" status, post your stats and let's see if we all have something in common! Of course, this status may mean nothing, but it's worth a shot.

OOS
3.5 UW 3.9 W GPA
1860 SAT
Great essays
Great recs
Great extracurricular activities

IS
3.54 UW, 4.00 W GPA
1960 SAT
Good essays
Great Recs
Solid but not numerous ECs

View decision status does not have anything to do with your final admission decision. Sorry, folks!

so why is our application “view decision” rather than “completed.” couldn’t you guys have it say “completed” if it’s completed but a decision isn’t made yet?!?!

:)

Dean J:

I commend you on your (and CavDog’s) tireless efforts as ambassadors to the applicant community. Thanks very much for your work with this very high maintenance group.

I like Dean J’s seemingly perpetually sunny disposition …

I’m starting to notice on other CC college admissions rep-monitored boards that the reps often seem crabby. Answering questions on CC is probably not a task they wanted to take on – seems like it would be a nearly full-time job! – but maybe they could find someone in their office who would welcome the task?

Hoo knows, maybe they’re not really crabby, they just read that way!

is lucky to have Dean J! :)

Thanks, all. FWIW, you aren’t a high maintenance group. Regardless, I actually enjoy working with students and families from “high maintenance” areas…because I’m from one of those places myself and remember all the rumors that flew around during this process.

In a few weeks, you’ll start to see some new members with posts like “I know you said notification will be April 1, but can you give us an update about when notification will be?” Luckily, there are so many informed students quick to post that I don’t always have to answer those questions. :)
