<p>when they ask for areas of interest is it better to put undecided or something that you kind of think you might want to do even if my transctipt looks more geared toward another area. Do they really care about what area you choose when reviewing application.

<p>My D wrestled with this and after discussing with me, teachers and guidance counselor, she ended up checking the "undecided" box on her applications that she submitted EA.</p>
<p>If you have some idea of a major, put it down. If you're completely undecided, put undecided. It's helpful to put your intended major down; at some of the schools I was admitted to, the departments sent me info.
<p>Do not believe what you read in books about how Hopkins admissions works. Many people make assumptions about how we make decisions, but these are just assumptions. These "authors" have not seen the data on the JHU applicant pool, have not sat-in on discussions about our applicants, so therefore they really can not be considered a reliable source.</p>
<p>When applying to JHU you are applying to the whole school, so list the majors you are considering and complete your application. It is that simple!
