My son applied in 8/23 documents were all there. It’s over 9 weeks. Is this too long? What are his chances: 3.75, SAT 1060. Eagle Scout, NHS for 2 yrs and now the historian, varsity sports, volunteer/community service, HOSA, advanced classes, job since he was 14 now 18, plus more.
This wait is driving me nuts. Any thoughts??
We are in the same boat. I don’t think 9 weeks is too long, I’m expecting at least 12 weeks before a decision is made. Did his portal get updated with anything new lately? My daughters changed to “An initial review of your application indicates you area competitive applicant to MSU. Due to an increase in the quality and quantity of freshman applicants, the OofA requires add’l time to thoroughly review all applicants before making a decision”.
Ours just said It’s under consideration with your reviewing counselor
My daughter is a freshman at MSU this year. As I recall, she applied on September 22. Although the school does rolling admissions, it doesn’t start sending out acceptances until after October 1st. My daughter was accepted into MSU on October 4th and into the Honors College a few weeks later.
Hopefully you’ll hear soon!
