Will information to contact an interviewer appear immediately after one submits part one of the application? It’s currently unavailable on my MyMIT account.
Also, you should submit part one and pay for the application ASAP (even if you’re not done with part 2), right?

Ah, we have an email on this.
Students will need to submit both Part 1 and Part 2 before they have an interview.
Which also means we (interviewers) won’t be giving prospective students interviews, only applicants.
I think we’re also shifting from applicants contacting interviewers to interviewers contacting applicants.
Thats my understanding too, from an email from MIT Admissions sent to ECs. MIT applicants no longer contact their Educational Counselor, now Educational Counselors are on the hook to contact students on our lists. The timing of the interview has changed and it matters whether you are applying EA or RA, the RA interviews are now after Christmas break. If you are applying EA, your interview will take place in early November. A few will take place in late October if you get Part 2 in early. All RA interviews will take place in January, after part 2 is submitted. The new deadlines for RA interviews is the end of January. This avoids the interviews around the holidays. Also students who are rejected by Stanford EA can now relax and not rush to schedule an MIT interview before Christmas.
