I submitted my first application yesterday. Ever since then, I've been extremely worried about how I might have messed something up or did something wrong like a typo. For instance, I am questioning what I wrote for the additional information section. Im so worried its paralyzing.

You can still print preview it, so you can check to see if you made any mistakes!

For example, I forgot to mark that I played varsity volleyball for my senior year, even though I had marked 9/10/11 and stated that I was a captain my junior/senior year and got All-City when I was a senior… it’s an embarrassing slip, and it might affect me negatively, but I’m sure college admissions officers leave SOME leeway for students. So relax! And read it over now, just to calm your nerves.

Alex, your mistake is an easy one, and there’s probably even disagreement about it. Rule is/was: double the consonant if the consonant is preceeded by a vowel (i.e beginning) and the suffix starts with a vowel.

But that’s not ALWAYS true or at least it’s changing. I went to the airport yesterday. Up there on the board were two ways airports have written the same word: cancelled canceled.
