Application changes for Freshmen Help!

Hi! I have a question regarding to application changes. I sent an E-mail to the admissions but i did not receive a reply, so here it is!
I made a mistake where i listed all my extra math, science, Courses that goes beyond the required years that should be in the G-section which is college preparatory elective courses simply on other a-g lists such as Math courses, science courses, etc. So for example i have my 4 years of math courses listed on my math courses which goes beyond the usual required years so i am supposed to put my last year of math which im taking 2 courses on my G (College preparatory elective courses) section but i didn’t How will i make changes to my application? i visited the application changes column but it did not have information regarding tot this issue.
Also i forgot to add my Laboratory science course that i’m currently taking as a senior. If i were to add this, i should be adding it to my G-section since it is my 4th year of taking a science course am i right?
Hope to hear something back!
Thank you!

Babyblo:
My son listed all his Math classes from Algebra I through Calculus BC under the Mathematic section so he has a total of 6 math classes listed. For science classes, he listed 2 Bio classes under the Bio Sci section and 4 Classes (Phys Sci/General Chem/AP Environmental/AP Physics under the Physical Science section. Under the College Prep electives he only listed AP Macroeconomics and AP Psychology. I hope this helps.

Oh thank you for your reply! So if i didnt take any courses that are listed in the g section, will it be ok to leave it blank? I thought g section is where you put the correct courses on g section in addition to any type of extra year of math or science courses?

Just posting this here in case anyone else finishes the app and then realizes that something was left off. My daughter forgot to input her Honors Pre-Calc class. Here’s the link of where to make changes after the app has been submitted (although obviously it would be better to get it right the first time): [Application Changes - Admissions - Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo](<a href=“Cal Poly Admissions”>Cal Poly Admissions) If the link here doesn’t work here’s how to find it: Go back in as if you are going to create a new application: (Apply online -> Undergraduate Admission Applicants -> check Cal Poly SLO -> click “Start New Application”. Scroll all the way down, almost to the bottom and you will see a heading that says “Request a change of information” followed by a link to the form to where you can make changes. There is some information just following that that states that for ED candidates, changes must be received by November 15th. Credits to my D for figuring this out…but, 'twould have been better to get it right the first time. Good luck to all!

I also just spotted this wording on that same page:

"Cal Poly does not use the area for Additional Non A-G courses in our selection process. "

Thank you lucky mom! I didnt take any non additional a-g courses but rather additional a-g courses such as extra years of math and science courses that goes beyond the minimum required years. I thought those had to be in the g section since g section is any courses that fits in the g course such as ap psychology microeconomics and any additional years of math science courses

If you go under <a href=“A-G Policy Resource Guide”>A-G Policy Resource Guide; and find your high school, it will list your high schools a-g courses and which courses should be put under which a-g category. Under my sons high school list, there are no laboratory science classes or extra math classes listed for the g category.

I called admissions regarding these same questions. She told me that if the class appears in the drop down menu for that category a-g, then list it in that category. There usually are more science and math courses to choose from to fill up the required/desired slots. That is why additional science and math can be placed within those subject areas. The courses listed in “g” college prep courses are categorized under a subject (for example macro econ ap is a social studies) but will be listed under the college prep elective requirement “g”. You can search your high school on the doorways a-g website and it will show you which courses are categorized in each area. Be careful, I think you must list 1 year long college prep elective since it is a required admission criteria. The admissions office has been so helpful with questions so please call them and double/triple check. Best of Luck!
