Has anyone received the application checklist e-mail? And if you have, has there been any trouble in trying to login on swarthmore's checklist website? Oh, and one more thing, is the user id the same as the user name?

yes, your user name is the same as your id. And you should have received instructions on logging in method in that email.

I haven't gotten an email yet... anyone else in the same boat?

My application was complete by 12/31 (as in, both Common App and Supplement in).

I haven't gotten the email either, and I submitted on 12/29. I'm just being patient...

yeah, and i followed all those instructions but i'm still having trouble.

When I first tried to log in, I couldn't.. but after trying several times.. it worked..

Ah!! No email! But I submitted it on the deadline, so it's to be expected ; )

Likewise!! No email from Swarthmore!

No Email....

Admissions is still sorting tons of mail (the papercuts all over my hands can attest to that!), so the lack of an e-mail makes perfect sense. Just be patient, guys! It doesn't mean that Swat has forgotten about you or that you are missing anything.

Thanks for the reassurance, Forgetmenots. I was getting nervous!

forgetmenots,

is it too late to to send in a supplemental recommendation to swarthmore

Capricho - If you still haven't sent it, there's probably a reason for it. :] Now's a little late unless you have a legitimate excuse, although Admissions doesn't really throw anything away yet. They won't start reading most of the apps until February, so there's a little window for people who've had some sort of issue getting their mail in (like internationals). I'd say that if you do have a reason for it being late, mail it in with a note, ASAP. :]

Everywhere I'm applying has said just to send supplementary materials ASAP. Especially since what you want to send is a piece of paper not a CD of slides or music that requires extra time and review, it should be fine.

oh, i'm sorry everyone. i didn't mean to make people nervous. i think one of the only reasons i may have received the email is becuase i'm an ed2 applicant, but honestly i'm not entirely sure. capricho; don't worry either; send in the recommendation, if you do, you can send a note with the letter or an email like i did. admissions will probably get back to you the next day; trust me :)

dnalorkoi1, your logic is entirely plausible. I too have recieved the checklist email, and I too have applied ED2.:)

Oh yeah, the ED2s getting e-mails make perfect sense. Those are due back in under a month, so they're busy reading all that stuff. :] It'd be a real problem if stuff was missing there, although it does happen...so hang in there, RD kids (well, ED2 kids, too)!

some of the stuff i sent is labelled as missing - app fee waiver, secondary school report and such.

If it doesn't show up soon, you should probably ask your counselor to resend those. Better to be safe with that and have a second copy than just hope that things will turn up.

^^ Wont they email me if my materials are really missing? I think they said so in their email. :S
