<p>Finnally my application status was changed. From what I've read it seems like this means they finnally are taking a look at your application. Could I expect a letter by the end of this month or is it still pretty much unpredictable?</p>

<p>My D's online status has said application complete for 2 months now, but she still has not received a decision.</p>

<p>Looks like it means like they just finalized the stats on my application and maybe gave it a first read or something cause I got the confirmation wayy long ago (i applied the start of october) and today got a thank you letter for applying saying decisions will be mailed by late march. The skinny envelope scared me.</p>
<p>I received my acceptance letter the week before Christmas, roughly a week after seeing my status change to "complete."</p>
<p>That doesn't mean everyone will have the same experience, of course.</p>
<p>According to what I've heard a few students get their decision in the winter, if they applied before October 31st. The rest hear back in March. Don't know how accurate this is.</p>

<p>Last year my good friend applied in October 30th and recived admitting letter on January 17.</p>
<p>Tech may be taking it a little slow this year. Last year they miscalculated their yield and a lot more folks wound up coming than they anticipated. As a result the best dorm, Folk, had 3 people to a room as did one other dorm. That got worked out over the semester and is now fixed but I am sure they don't want to go through that again..lots of parent and student complaints as well as having to refund some portion of the housing payment, so they may be taking a more measured approach to admissions this year</p>
