Do any of you know how/if Davidson notifies you when your application has been received?

Some schools have an online application-check, and others send out postcards or letters, but
I applied to Davidson in early November and have yet to receive any type of notice.

Does Davidson only notify those who are missing components of their application?

same! I applied a while ago and have not received anything of confirmation except for a letter regarding financial aid. However, i recently switched my application to EDII so i contacted them. i know that 2 weeks before decisions come out, they will email you with a username and password…but im not sure about an online checklist. i am sure that they will notify you if there is something missing.

did you apply EDII?

Hmm…if I remember correctly, I do not think I was notified when all of my application materials were complete. However, I went the ultra-traditional route and applied completely through paper and sent in everything together (essays, app, recs, resume, etc.) so I knew it was complete. If you are not sure, I would call the admissions office. They are always more than willing to help. Good luck!

"This message is to notify you that your application to Davidson is complete. We
appreciate the time and effort you have spent in submitting this application,
and we assure you that we will read and discuss all that you have written and
all that is written about you in our effort to make the best decision for
Davidson and for its applicants.

Remember, approximately two weeks before decisions are mailed, we will send you
an email with your unique usercode and password needed to access your admission
decision on-line. It is not possible to give these codes over the phone, so
keep your email in a safe place. Our Web site will have the information about
when decisions will be available on-line.

We plan to mail decision letters for Early Decision I by December 15, for Early
Decision II by February 1, for Regular Decision by April 1 and for Transfer
Decision by early May. While you are waiting for decisions, please visit our
campus, visit our web site, contact the counselor from your region, talk to
students or alums that you know and continue to learn about Davidson.

Again, we appreciate your interest in Davidson and your timely completion of
your application. Good luck.

…this is the email D got 1-2 weeks after she sent her application in, toward the end of November. Hope that helps.

I received an email that they had processed everything for my application except for the $50 fee. But then it said to disregard the email if I had paid online (which I would assume most people would have done…?). So I just disregarded the email since I paid through CommonApp.

Thank you all for your helpful answers!

I applied Regular Decision via the CommonApp. Long ago, I received an email that they were “opening a file” for me, but nothing of that nature since.
I’ll call them in the morning and keep you guys updated!

Thanks again!

i submitted my application months ago but i recently changed its status to EDII instead of REgular. Maybe it was because of this switch, but i received an email today stating that my application is complete and they will contact me 2 weeks before with a username and password to view decisions. I CANT WAIT!

Davidson sent me an email assuring me that my file was complete today!

Good luck everyone!
