application completed but no decision??

so the title might say it all but on the uconn application progress link thing it says:

"Your application was completed on November 03, 2010. It is important for you to check your application status frequently. Your admission decision will be posted here when it is available."

when do you think my decision will be in? this message has been up for weeks now... i check everyday lol.

UConn’s admissions are rolling, so they give decisions based on how early you apply. I don’t think they’ve begun releasing decisions yet, but I could be wrong. I submitted mine on November 9th. So I guess we just have to wait. Technically, they say you will be notifies BY February 1st, so they don’t need to actually give you a decision until then. But I believe, though I could be wrong, that we will get decisions before Christmas, or a little later.

thanks! i really hope i get it this month

They received all of my documents on October 29, and I expect to hear from them in the first weeks of December. Last year people started receiving decisions on November 25.

I could have sworn it said they begin releasing admissions around january 1st?

“What does Early Action mean?
Students who apply online and submit all application materials by December 1 are automatically considered for Early Action. Early action applicants will receive notification of their candidacy by early February. Early Action admission offers do not require the student to enroll at the University. For more information, see our Early Action information page.” From their FAQ

My application was completed 11/4/10 and I have yet to hear back as well.

i think i havent received an answer yet because today was the early action deadline and i had applied so long ago… i predicting to hear back in the next two or three weeks… good luck to all you guys

My college guidance counselor emailed the admissions office and got the following email:

“This year we did delay our initial review a bit in order to wait for the November test scores for our applicants. At this point, we have begun our review, but most decisions will likely go out in January. I would guess that the absolute earliest possible notification could be the end of December.”

So, looks like we’ll have to hope for a late Christmas present.

So glad you posted this info. Thanks.

Yeah, thanks for the info, Elf. sigh Looks like we’re gonna have to hold out a little bit longer.

At least one college I applied to I’ll know BY December 20th. So I guess I can start looking forward to that! But UConn is my top choice.

elf, you should make a thread with a title like “Uconn admissions holding off until January” or something like that and put that message there. My counselor said the same thing, but I don’t have written proof like you.

I wouldn’t exactly call it “written proof” seeing as anyone can type anything and say it’s from anyone else on here haha. But I agree, or someone should. It’s a lot easier to find than reading through there and I’m sure quite a few people coudl benefit from seeing that posted, so they have an idea as to when.

january??? GAH WHY

The Uconn Admissions Facebook Page (as a side not, many college admissions pages will have information regarding the mailing of decisions, so it could benefit to check those) just recently posted this:

“We will start to send Early Action decisions mid-December. Don’t forget to use our new self-service for updates on your application!”

Most schools define “mid-december” as somewhere between the 14th and the 16th. Good Luck to everyone!

yeah all of my stuff was in nov. 1
my friend said because i was in before the deadline i should be hearing really soon. she knew by now when she got in
