Application completion date has changed from 11/1 to 11/4.

<p>Hi, I logged into my UMD application today only to notice a discrepancy in the application completion date. Every time I have logged in previously, it said "your application was completed on 11/1". I have screenshots and everything. Last night, I clicked "view application" to check and see if I had entered my SSN correctly, went to the tab where I entered it in originally, checked it, and logged out.</p>

<p>This morning, when I logged in, it the status now said "you application was completed on 11/4". Why did this change? I didn't make any changes to my application last night, I just viewed it. Obviously this new date is after the priority deadline. Will I be pushed back to regular decision? My submission date has stayed the same: Oct. 28th.</p>

<p>If I recall correctly, it automatically just updates with the latest date of your login and means nothing - it will keep changing each time you check I believe. The only important date is the submission date of Oct 28th so you are fine.</p>

<p>I’ve logged in plenty of times, but this is the first time something like this has ever happened. Maybe it’s because I actually went and viewed the application? It nearly gave me a heart attack when I saw it, haha. I think the application is the one thing I don’t like about UMD. It’s just so overly complicated and inefficient. </p>

<p>Anyway, thanks once again for the informative answer! I might call admissions tomorrow just to verify but you’ve definitely allayed my fears! :smiley: </p>

<p>I just checked my son’s application and the same has happened. The application was complete on 10/25/14 and I have a printout of that. Today the date of the complete app says 11/4/14. We will also be calling them tomorrow just to confirm.</p>

<p>If you look at your account more critically, the submission date is not changing, only the line that states “your application was completed on” …so, it’s semantics that are misleading since that date does change constantly…it really is not cause for alarm. It even did this when my son first applied three years ago (sheesh, time flies fast!) so it’s not something new.</p>

<p>Everyone should have faith in what maryv says. She knows her UMD stuff!! :relaxed: Just like maryv said, the system is the same as it’s been for years. </p>

<p>The same thing is happening here. My daughter’s application was submitted on 9/22 ( also reported on the application) and was complete 10/6. When she logs in to check her application the date always changes to reflect the current day. On October 25th it read that it was complete on the 25th, then on November 1 it read that it was complete on November 1. </p>

<p>@maryversity is correct. I called UMD admissions yesterday when this happenned to my DD application. The completed date changes everytime you login. </p>

<p>I called as well, they said it was just a glitch in the system. My application completion date has now changed from 11/4 to 11/6, haha. So I guess it does happen every time!</p>
