Application Confirmation?

Hey All,
I recently submitted my application and I was wondering if I should be expecting any type of confirmation from ND that they received everything. I have sent all my test scores, my rec letters have been submitted via common app, payment is in, my school has sent my transcripts, and both the app and supplement have been submitted as far as I know. I have begun to receive confirmations from other schools via email. I know ND doesn't do a lot of electronic communication though. I hesitate to contact the admissions office because I'm sure they are very busy and I want to stay on their good side haha :)

Thanks for the help!

I called today to ask if they received all my application paperwork. The woman who answered the phone said, “they had not started looking at the application packages yet, once they start they, will send a letter if anything is missing.” So I guess if we don’t hear from them then they have everything?

Has anyone that has applied early action this year received a letter saying that their application is complete? Notre Dame’s website says that we should receive a letter in the third week of November. I sent in my application in September and have not heard anything.

Yesterday.

I submitted on November 1st.

Don’t worry about it at all, i submitted my application early October and i just got my letter a few days ago. They are still in the process of organizing and putting together everybody’s applications. If you are really worried, you can always email or call admissions to make sure they have everything

mamo240 … thanks for the insight…goodluck to all

I have not received my confirmation letter yet (I applied EA) but I emailed one of the ND admissions officers (Stephanie Nguyen) and she replied that all applicants will get one of these letters by the end of november. I don’t think the admissions office will tell you if your application is complete via email. Good luck everyone!

Yesterday my Dad (an alum) recieved notification that my application was complete and ready for review, however I have not yet recieved any notification addressed to me. Should I be expecting a letter before the end of the month, or is his notification meant to suffice for both of us?

I’m an alum, and we received two letters–one addressed to me and one addressed to my son. He received his first.

wow, I’m bummed my son applied EA back in early October and we never received a letter. I called to make sure his file is complete and they stated that they did have everything. But now I wonder if its an bad omen that we haven’t received a letter.

Dungareedoll, I’m sure it’s not a bad omen! Someone above applied in Sept and never received a letter. Maybe they were waiting to send the letters to the really early applicants and somehow they got overlooked. At least you can rest easy knowing they have everything! Good luck!

i called the admissions office the other day. they said that they send out confirmations that they have everything in batches. one of the batches had a problem, so a lot of people who applied early didnt actually get the confirmation. its nothing to worry about

That’s good to hear. You didn’t happen to ask what day they would be sending out the decision letters, did you?

i was worried about that because i never got a confirmation letter!! thanks for the update, i guess my letter was in the problematic batch

i did try. they played it pretty close to the chest about acceptances. i do know that last year they sent them on the 15th. im guess this year itll either be then or the 14th, as its the corresponding day of the week.

^^Thanks for sharing! Let’s pray for sooner rather than later. :)
