So I was admitted into CU Boulder and the official package came with all the information in it. In one of the enrollment processes it said College Readiness in English and Mathematics. It said that in order to pass the screening requirements for college readiness in English and math, we have to present minimum standardized test scores. But for the students who don’t meet the minimum requirements, the admissions office would email them. What exactly does this mean? I thought they already looked over my ACT when reviewing my application. Could this jeopardize my admission?
No. You’re admitted. I would bet that for those who are on the low end of requirements, they want to ensure that those admitted have the best chance of succeeding – there’s probably some remedial solutions they suggest. But even still, the goal is to get the students ready for successful transition into college – not to keep them out.
If this doesn’t apply to you, don’t worry about it.
