Hey. I know UMICH is rolling adm., but is there a different recommended application date for oos and instate? I know a lot of people sent their apps. out in Sept. or Aug. or whatever and anything after Nov. is considered "late." But some highschools don't start sending college rec. stuff out 'til Nov. and Dec. and won't UMICH understand this? So do you know if UMICH reserves spots for certain states or is it really just whoever applies first and is qualified?

What do you mean by "understand?" And "college rec stuff"? Schools should be able to provide a Secondary School Report at any time, and teachers should be able to provide recommendations at any time as well. I think it's whoever applies first, but it's definitely not unheard of for people to apply late and still get in. Just a question of scholarship money, pretty significant for OOS.

I don't think they have state quotas, but I've heard around these boards that they might favor underrepresented states. shrug

Well at my hs, the college office genrally sends stuff out in Dec. I just wanted to know if UMICH does admissions within a hs or state or if all the apps. are just thrown together. I was just wondering if UMICH favors certain schools or states. Yeah, I've read posts where people said they applied a week before the deadline and got in.
