I started the common app as a transfer a few months back but never completed it, and tonight I received an e-mail from admissions saying they are giving me an extension to submit my application. Is this an e-mail they send to everyone who they see started an app but didn't complete it, or do they send this based on any kind of transcripts/records they were able to pull up? I guess I'm wondering if this is any kind of indicator of having a higher chance of being accepted? Thanks for any insight or answers!

wow, they are having extension? I dont think they will give individuals extension based on their records. No admission office have that time and human resource to do this, definitely not a big school as NYU, maybe in some small lac but thats still uncommon.

Or do you have extraordinary records? post it and we will see

i got the deadline extension email as well and was wondering the same thing? are you going to apply now lol?
