So, I realize that this question has been asked before, but I could find anything MIT-specific on this forum. Just for the peace of my mind, is the deadline for RD applications tomorrow, January 1st, at 11:59pm? Meaning, I can still work on it tomorrow? And yes, I realize that it's a risky thing to do, but I just wanna make sure.

Yes, Jan. 1st, 11:59pm EST.

So guys it means I can submit my part I and part II until 2nd January at the Cambridge, MA?

Looks that way, since nobody else contradicted that info. Although I’d recommend submitting Part I ASAP. There aren’t any serious essays there, it’s all biographical info, so why wait? It’s not like you can edit or modify it. And once you submit, you’ll get a list of all the materials that were received or still need to be sent. So I wouldn’t wait until the last minute for that.

ivanov2014, so you mean I can submit part II after the deadline?

No, don’t submit part II after the deadline!

The deadline for the online parts of the application is tomorrow, Jan 1, 11:59:59 PM EST.

But I would really not advise waiting until the last minute – if you find out you need to cut a few words from your essay, or that you forgot to put in some piece of information, you don’t want to have to rush to get your application in.

I’m not suggesting anything crazy. Just try to get everything together by 10 or 11 PM tomorrow, not 11:59.

@molliebatmit - thank you, that’s perfect.
