i applied regular decision and i still have not yet received their decision. I believe we hear around the first week of March. Anyway, I have had the "application complete" thing for a while so I think it just means that they have everything and aren't missing a recommendation letter or your SAT scores.

Yes, it said "Accepted. Congratulations!" next to "Application Decision" or something like that. But the completion thing just means it's ready for review. And I believe sideonetracktwo is right, and RD decisions come in March. Though I know some RD-ers have heard already...

I thought it said on the Binghamton website that RD decisions would be made on April 1st... Is it really the first week of March? I'm a deferred applicant if that matters..

I understood that they have a modified rolling admission. They wait till the recommended application deadline (Feb 15) to see what the applicant pool is like. But then, as they start making admission decisions, they do not wait till the whole class is filled. Acceptances are sent on a rolling basis. April 1 is the decision deadline for everyone who applied before Feb 15.
Does anyone know when they are expected to start sending acceptances this year? Are they sending them already?

thanks for replies.
And congrats to TymeFlysBy.
Just checked online - still "complete ready for review". DD applied in early Dec, but her supplement was uncovered only in late Jan. Maybe this is the reason for being further in line.

Here is when his materials were received...Good Luck to all who are waiting!

High School Transcript Jan 10, 2008
Recommendation Letter Jan 10, 2008
Supplemental Admissions Form Dec 06, 2007
Official Test Scores Dec 10, 2007

Does anyone else have Recommendation Letters receipt date listed? My daughter has only High School Transcript, Supplementary and Test Scores. She sent two letters. Is it possible that both are lost?

My son went online tonight and was accepted into Binghamton's business program. He applied in November, but all his materials were not completed until December.

Slater and Freestyla..... You are both thinking with your hearts and not your heads because you both want to get in to Binghamton. Binghamton is hoping to get the "most qualified" students they can to attend their school. Many of those students are going to be chosen from the RD applicant pool. Why would they accept EA deferred students before finding out if the "more qualified" RD applicants will be accepting their offer of admission? Waiting is definitely tough and as Freestyla pointed out......life's not fair. Hang in there and good luck to both of you!

Thanks Peachy... And I would think you should be absolutely right, but when I called admissions weeks ago, after I was deferred, I was told that there was a chance that EA deferred students would have their decisions made early march, before everyone else.

Your thinking is the most logical, but I don't know why I was told that...
