I sent in my early action application to Rutgers on October 27 and I’ve continually checked my checklist and status and for a whole month it’s been saying my transcripts haven’t been recieved. On Nov. 15 I told my counseler and she told me she’d resend them. They still haven’t been received according to the website and required materials were due Dec. 1 for regular decision. What do I do?
You wonder why you didn't speak to the counsellor before a month? The application process is yours to own and track. You and your parents can chase up the GC after the first week, not after a whole month. Sometimes it is problem on the college end, again, that is yours to chase up. After the nov 15th you still let it go? Really? Do you have parents who help you?
Hopefully you are on top of your applications to schools within your stats range and financial abilities. Some safety schools’ scholarship dates can be Dec 1st, even if that is not the date for admission applications.
I spoke to my counselor after 2 weeks, a little less. I wanted to give it time to update the site because it said to wait 10 days to allow it to update. My counselor then resent them and I had to allow another two weeks to see if they updated.
I would call the admissions office and explain that they’ve been sent twice. Ask them what to do.
^^^^That
did you do the self reported academic record? i don’t think you’re supposed to send transcripts to rutgers
Just for Camden, the others said that it was supposed to be sent
No, you don’t send transcripts to Rutgers. You do the SRAR. For all campuses.
Did you do it? @leafconeybearismart
It’s one app and one SRAR to apply to up to 3 campuses/colleges in Rutgers. They’re not separate.
I’m not really sure what the SRAR is, so I probably didn’t do it. I don’t know what to do, my counselor told me that she sent them both times and that they’ve been received as of now, why would she tell me that or send them if I was supposed to self report?
Rutgers is a self report school. Your guidance counselor is only supposed to send them if you enroll so you could send them 10 times but admissions isn’t going to be looking for them. You were supposed to self report. Your guidance counselor probably didn’t know that. I suggest you call admissions and ask them if it’s not too late to self report.
Are you in state? Brcause if you are, your guidance counselor 100% would know this. Either way, it’s clearly stated in the instructions so you should have known. All you can do now is go online and do the SRAR right now and hope they take it.
I’m out of state, Illinois. Okay, I’m doing it now. Thanks everyone.
This from the website:
Attention early action applicants! If you were unable to provide all required credentials (SRAR and test scores) by November 15, we will automatically consider your application for regular decision as long as all required credentials are received by December 15.

Self-Reported Academic Record (SRAR)
Part 2 of the application process for first-year students who are currently enrolled in high school requires submission of the SRAR. Preview the SRAR and please take note of the following:
The SRAR is separate from the Rutgers application and should be submitted immediately after submitting the online application. A SRAR account can be created at any time during high school.
The SRAR is required for all current high school seniors.
Students should obtain a copy of their high school transcript from their school counselor and use the transcript as a reference when completing the SRAR.
The SRAR allows students to self-report their courses, grades, grade-point averages, and other academic information.
The SRAR must include all courses and final grades earned from grades 9 through 11, as well as grade 12 courses in progress. (Please report grade 12 courses as “In Progress.”)
All enrolling (have accepted Rutgers’ offer of admission) first-year students must request that their high schools mail an official transcript after graduation with all courses, final grades, and certification and date of graduation noted on the transcript.
Discrepancies between a student’s SRAR and official transcript may result in a student’s admission to Rutgers being rescinded.
International students may use the SRAR. Upon enrollment, please submit official academic records directly from an educational authority such as the SSC, HSSC, WAEC, GSEC (Tawjihiyah), GXE, GCE, or Bagrut in addition to other results and certificates.
High school graduates and transfer students do not complete the SRAR.
Is is literally STEP TWO of the process of applying to Rutgers. Either your or your guidance counselor should have noticed this.
Get it in ASAP to be considered for RD. Best of luck!
Hey just thought i’d update yall. I got in to Rutgers Camden but the application check list still says they don’t have my transcripts?
Have you called or emailed them yet?
