Hey i'm having trouble writing the short response on why i want to go to emory.. It's not that i dont want to go there, it's just that all of my reasons are fairly generic.. academics, location, etc.. and they are off-limits. I suppose i could always make something up or embelish anecdotes from my tour or something... any ideas?

im having the same exact problem.

Yeah i have the same problem, too. I just find it hard to start the short response.

Hey, I was having the same problem too guys. I guess I can't really give you any crazy advice considering I applied ED II and haven't found out yet, so idk how great or horrible my essay may be. But if you want some tips, write about some speficifcs that really interested you. I wrote about a particular undergrad program and their affiliation with the Carter Center.

you can talk about academics, you just need to be specific

i talked about small class sizes, the freshman seminars, the internships/ study abroad programs, and the student life like clubs, greek life, etc.

I talked about specific programs (music--researched it) and about my impressions while going to emory for state sci oly tournaments/ debate camp. just throwing out some ideas.

I talked about some research being conducted there, and how that related to what I've done and want to do.
