So, last year, my sisters and I were eligible for the free/reduced lunch meal. But, my mom decided not to do it this year (for some unknown reason). Our income, if not the same, is much lower this year and I want to be able to get the NACAC waivers, so should I just ask my mom to reapply? Would that take a long process? Or is it even necessary. I want to get the fee waivers before the Nov1 deadline for EA and I've been told the easiest way for a counselor to verify if you're eligible for a fee waiver is by looking at whether or not you qualify for free/reduced lunches. Would colleges mind if I sent the fee waiver document late?

yeah the process of getting reduced lunch is kinda long…took about a week or so for my family to find out. as for whether or not the college minds if it’s late, i’m not too sure of.

I just submitted my free/reduced lunch form as well. I hadn’t plan to because I bring my own lunch. I’m trying to find my letter from last year saying that I was accepted to the free/reduced lunch program, but I think I threw it away. I might ask my GC if there are other ways to verify my parent’s low income.

I received fee waivers from my school a few weeks ago. And if you’re talking about the collegeboard one (which is the one our school uses for students on free/reduced lunch) it says on there that students who used a fee waiver on a collegeboard SAT I or SAT II are allowed to use the fee waivers. So if you used a fee waiver for SAT’s then I think you’re allowed to ask for collegeboard college application fee waivers.
