when i call the automated line, it tells me that i still need to submit the application fee in order to complete my file. i was under the impression i did not need to submit one because of the personal app. should i just disregard the system, call the office, or send the money?

I thought personal app was only EA/ED?

Absolutely call - something needs to be straightened out.

The personal app - that came in the mail and which you could also access online - said applicants could apply for free. It is not the same as the regular online app. which was not free.

Call and see!

twinkle, my advice is never to disregard anything in the system. I'm with wish - call.

call...
they are generall very helpful and informative

Yeah, you should call.

However, if you got the same Personal App that I got, it's only valid for early admission. You might have to pay to use it for RD.

the app i got said that the fee was waived...and it said expressly that it could be used for RD, EA, and ED. anywho, they sent me another one via e-mail a couple days ago, saying that they had "extended" the deadline to feb 1, which seems to mean that the app is still valid.

but yeah, i will call the office tomorrow. got home too late today. thanks for all of y'alls advice!
