What is the application form needed to apply for Rice University?

If you know which form we have to use, please leave a post.

Check the website but I think Common App or PArt 1 and 2 of the Rice Application.

yeah you can do common app or the rice app. for the rice app though, you have to send in part 1 before they send the rest.

Wait, so we don't need to do Part 1 of the Rice App if we're doing the Common App?

You can probably find all of this out at the Rice website.

Believe me, I looked. I even e-mailed the admissions office almost two weeks ago, but I still haven't received a reply, and thanks to the time difference here, I can't really call them. I wouldn't be asking here if it was stated explicitly on the website.

chill, this is what I found on the Rice website, the way I read it, you don't need to submit part 1 of Rice's app if you're planning on using the CA:

"You may apply to Rice with the Rice application form or the Common Application. We accept and give equal consideration to both. The Rice application comes in two parts; as soon as you know you want to apply, submit Part I and we will send you Part II. Students who submit the Common Application will be sent the Rice Supplement for the Common Application to complete. For students who have submitted the Common Application form electronically, you must still submit the Rice Supplement in hardcopy form. The Rice Supplement cannot be submitted electronically either from the Common Application website or from the Rice website. "

Yeah, I read that too, but it still doesn't say "You do not need to send Part I if you're doing the Common App." I guess I'd just like a straightforward confirmation. :]

Real clear, submit the comman app and they will send you the supplement to the common app for Rice.

You may apply to Rice with the Rice application form **or **the Common Application. We accept and give equal consideration to both.

yeah, if you look at Part 1 it's pretty much the same as the first pages of the Common App (address, parent info, etc)

seems clear to me :)
