Hi, new member from India here.
Just saw this website and realised how great this is. I am planning to apply to the US this year and just wanted to know what yall think about my application.
- SAT- 1510 (Composite), 1570 (Superscore)
- SAT 2- 800 Math 2
- High School Grades- Straight A1s throughout 9th and 10th (10 CGPA) and 90% in 11th and 12th (Midterms)
- ECAs- School Debate Team Captain, Environment Club Captain, Tons of Social Service (Including work in remote Indian villages), MUN Director General, Performing arts etc.
- Hoping for stellar LORs
If not Ivys, then any other top colleges??? Please help.
Your stats are good enough to apply. The chances of you being admitted are slim just like for all qualified applicants.
Thanks for the insight! And what do you think about reach colleges like UMich, UCLA, UCB, Amherst etc?
Thanks in advance.
UCB/UCLA definitely within Reach. No financial aid offered to International applicants so you will be full fees at $60K/year. Run the net price calculators to confirm.
Just looking at how high Indians score, other students from South Asia start laughing at their marks.
Amazing stats. Chances are high.
Hahahah cheers mate! Guess its in our blood lol
Applications are holistically reviewed. Stats only open the door, won’t get you through them. You will need to apply Full FA. UCB and UCLA are reaches for all.
If you have $60,000+ per year, you should get into UCB, UCLA or other top public universities. If you need financial aid, that’s a whole different ball game.
