Application: Hard to Fit Info??

The GT application has no place for describing honors and awards. It is very hard to adequately describe extra curriculars given only a few short lines. Is it advisable (or even possible) to upload a supplementary sheet with the online application?

I’m not sure if it’s possible to upload it online, but it is possible to give it to your GC to send it along with the transcripts.

It’s absolutely absurd how little space there is. It’s almsot offensive; Georgetown gives you 35 characters to describe the activities you’re most involved in and are most important to you.

Is anyone submitting a resume? If so where are they putting it? I saw someone mention before having a counselor attach it, but mine said she doesn’t think she can because everything they do is online…

the admissions guy that came to my school for those 2 hour meetings said they throw all that extra stuff out… i agree im actually writing mine out on the app they sent me in the mail… and i have no room to talk about anything and we can only list what? like 5 EC’s?

I called the school and spoke to an admissions representative and they both said I could send in a resume. If you’re doing it online just send it in an envelope with your info on it, and if you’re doing a paper app, then send it with Part II. But regardless, just in case they do throw it out, put your most important activities in the space provided.

You can also ask your interviewer to highlight things that didn’t fit into the application in his/her report. Most interviewers will be glad to accommodate the request.
