<p>I am applying to colleges and I was wonder if it was a good idea to send somewhat of a "letter" explaining my incomplete Chemistry grade. I didn't pass 2nd semester Chem last year. As of right now, I am taking a credit recovery coarse of Chemistry on a program called Odyssey. What are some examples of what I might say throughout the letter,andr how would I start it? Thank you for any advice that can be givin... !</p>

<p>I agree with glassesarechic. Write a note to your guidance counselor explaining why you did poorly in chem, what you’redoing to improve, and stuff like that. Then ask your counselor to mention that in her letter of recommendation or transcript form.</p>
<p>Sometimes they ask if there’s anything else you would like them to consider or if there is anything on your application that you would like to further explain. If so, use that opportunity to explain whatever happened.</p>
