I've been inputting my grades and courses online for the UC app, and I can't seem to figure out how to add summer courses.

I also got credits as a TA, how do I fit that in there, too?

I've been inputting my grades and courses online for the UC app, and I can't seem to figure out how to add summer courses.

I also got credits as a TA, how do I fit that in there, too?

TA isn't an a-g course, so don't even worry about it, they won't count it in your evaluation. don't know about the other Q though.

I believe you add the summer courses you've taken along with your 11th grade course list.
That's what I did, but I'm not too sure.
I'm curious to know

Ah thanks! One more question, Economics AP doesn't show up when inputting courses, is it the equivalent of Microeconomics or Macroeconomics or both?

for summer courses you usually dont put it on there unless its like a class you would take during the normal school year for ex. alg2 english, spanish 1, or geometry. and you would put that under the same grade year as the following fall of that summer.

as for ap econ. if your taking both test then its micro and macro. and if your taking one then u call it whatever that one is.

My D put in summer courses under a-g eventhough they were not part of her school transcript. UC system gives additional points if you have taken more than certain number of a-g semester courses beyond the minimum required (e.g., 30+ semester courses get 150 points, 40+ gets 300 points.. something like that).

It depends on the summer. The summer between 9-10 is 10th grade, the summer between 10-11 is 10th grade and the summer between 11-12 is 11th grade.
D typed AP Economics instead of AP MicroEconomics or AP MacroEconomics. D typed in so it would match her transcript. D also put in the Additional Information that AP Political Science(1st semester) and AP economics(2nd semester). It was confusing.
For non a-g courses that D took in the summer, D put in the coursework other than the a-g section, like ROP, etc..

actually 99 cents is correct. you should be putting whatever it says on your transcript for the class name.

and i guess putting those summer classes in there anyways wont hurt unless your trying to hide some bad grades.

I called UCLA and they almost hyperventilated when I said D did not have the ROP class in her transcript. They said to talk to the principal and insisted on put the course in, etc.. So yeah, obmit any course, especially an academic/art/ROP could be construed as lying. If later on they accept you and you turn in your transcript which is different from what you listed in the UC application, your admission offer can be rescinded.

ROP class?

yeap, I thought it was an ROP class, non-academic, it should not matter but I was wrong. Glad to find out just in time for UC application deadline.

oh, I was just wondering what ROP stood for

ROP - REGIONAL OCCUPATIONAL PROGRAM
The ROP program is an outstanding program
offered to students sixteen years of age or a
junior or senior. The program provides
hands on career preparation classes, some with
an internship component, to students (and
adults). Whether a student plans to go to a
University or directly into the workforce, job
skills and experience is an asset. Courses and hands-on
experience related to a particular major can give
a student an edge with admissions when
applying to colleges.

Ah, thanks! Yeah, I just have AP Economics for one semester, thanks for clearing that up.

I'm still not quite sure I've ever heard of a ROP class, do the UC's really want them that bad? :/

No, they don't want you to obmit anything. They may reject you later on if you don't put them. Besides, it's up to them to decide what's important, not the applicant.
