Hi! My daughter accidentally selected “no” for financial aid on the common app for one of her schools, and has already submitted. How should we proceed? Does alerting the admissions office of the error lessen her chances to being accepted at the school?
@operamama123 , it depends. Some schools are need-aware and some are need-blind. If you provide the name of the school, someone here will be able to tell you.
Do you plan to apply for financial aid…and do you want or need it?
If so, contact the admissions offices and ask them to change that to “yes”.
And admission without sufficient aid, if you need it, is like a rejection.
