Application mistake

I’ve found out that I made a huge mistake on my application for my family’s income, I put that they make $6 for Ajusted gross income and receive $300,000+ from benefits and untaxed income. Is there a way I can fix this because the application deadline has already passed. Will this destroy my chances into getting in?

The income listed on the Cal state apply application is information. The financial aid offices will use your financial information/income that is submitted on your FASFA. Do not worry as long as there are no mistakes on your FASFA, you are fine.

Cal states are need-blind meaning they do not take finances into consideration when making admission decisions.

Okay thank you! Does that mean income has no say on whether I get admitted or not? Also there is one other big mistake on my application. It shows that I was born in California and the the California city I was born in which is good. It also shows that I am an U.S citizen and California resident which is also good, but in the “custom questions” under “U.S citizenship” it shows that my Country of citizenship is Afghanistan. My Country of Citizenship is United States. What do I do?

Your income is not a consideration for admission purposes, only for financial aid purposes. I would email each Cal state in which you applied and let them know of the Country of Citizenship mistake. It may not make a difference if all the other relevant information is correct, but better safe than sorry. Keep any documentation just in case an inquiry comes up later.

Okay thank you so much for the help!
