Application number and decisions...

<p>Someone told me that they thought decisions have been coming out in order of application number. i want to try to figure out if this is true. I think it would be helpful if everyone put the beginning of their app number (not umid, it is different) and say when they were accepted or if they havent gotten a decision.

<p>Doesn’t seem like any correlation to me. They don’t process apps one by one.</p>

<p>I don’t think the app number really matters … it’s not a true rolling admissions system </p>

<p>I know someone at my school who applied first week of October and still has yet to hear back from Mich</p>

<p>i think the app number might be assigned when you start a app and not when you submit it.</p>

<p>Also, even if the number is when it was submitted, I know several people (myself included) whose recommendations didn’t get there until at least a month later, which would delay decisions.</p>

<p>But my app number was 00786XXX, and I was accepted Thursday.</p>

<p>OK …idk what my number to turn in was…but it seemed to be that way at my schooll…until me and my friend got in …who turned ours in two weeks after these other girls. (but one applied to engineering which is super hard and the other is kinda a weak applicant lmao)</p>

<p>HOWEVER…sorry i forgot to add…there are 2 girls who applied VERY VERY EARLY (SEPT.)…that know Michigan will reject them and they havent gotten anything. so i guess that’s clear proof that going by application turn-in date is NOT true.</p>
