The second question in the niche section of part 2 states:
Does multi-disciplinary team research with a faculty mentor, lasting throughout your undergraduate years and dealing with the social implications of science and technology appeal to you? If yes, briefly tell us why and what are some of the interests, experiences and skills that you would bring to such a research team. If No, please focus on questions a and c.

As a prospective journalism major, this question doesn't seem to apply to me. Should I simply skip it and just do a and c?? Or should I write that as a journalism major this type of research does not appeal to me?

FWIW, last year, D answered No to B. She was still selected for Gemstone, but respectfully turned it down. (too many group projects from hell in her past, and her desire to have a double major and a minor didn't allow for the scheduling of the Gemstone time). She LOVES UMD, and we have lots of good things to say about the Honors Program. (If only they had nicer housing for the freshmen in the Honors Program!!! )
