Application Preference changed - does it mean anything?

Haha silly speculation.

Is it possible that you’ve all just completed interviews?

Mine is a 1 & I just had my interview yesterday.

Application Preference 1 doesn’t mean anything. When I applied ED it was “no preference” until about a week after I was accepted. Now it’s 1 for everyone. The system has a lot of strange things that it displays, and you can try and interpret them, but you won’t see anything definitive until March 31st.

Most universities use the same web information system (banner). IF you do a quick search for “Banner Application Preference”, training from various universities will come up. According to a university in Georgia:

darn, I have 1 also and i was hoping that meant good things…

The application preference column in the online status check had ‘1’ when I created the account. But, I noticed couple of days back that the Application Preference column has been removed from my status check account. Has it happened with anybody else and does it mean something ?. Thanks for your response.
