<p>Looks creative and fun. When I applied, HS class of '07, they had an unusually long essay and short answer section, just as it appears here for you '10ers. They also wanted an unusually intense resume (short summary of AND significance to you of your activities). </p>
<p>However, I think as in previous years, this is a little misleading. Although I’m sure UMD is somewhat holistic, it’s probably not as holistic as the intensity of the free responses on the application suggests. Though considering the seeming randomness with which they award scholarships, perhaps the pay more attention to our apps than we think.</p>
<p>One thing is for sure, though - if you can’t write…LOL.</p>
