I was wondering if anyone knew about the process of being put on hold, and if it’s the same as a waitlist. What are my chances of getting in. I got put on hold today (November 27, 2017) and I applied early action. SAT=1160, but I took it again and got a 1180 and 1210 superscore. GPA= 3.2… should I sent mid year grades, another SAT or ACT, or a rec letter.
I would contact the admissions dept. and find out what the hold means, why your application was put on hold etc. But it wouldn’t hurt to send updated information.
I emailed admissions and asked for more information regarding the hold. I’m just a little confused because there isn’t that much information about it online. Thanks so much!
My daughter is in the same situation with similar gpa and test scores. I am pushing her to call admissions this week … On hold is better than wait list . They likely want more information from you. My daughter is taking a university college english and will not receive her grade from that until mid december. She is going to send that, possibly a personal statement and possibly 2nd marking period grades if they are ok. I keep telling her not to give up yet. Temple is her #1 choice. So don’t give up yet.
