Application Question?

So, on the CommonApp, I stated that I took some college classes over the summer and that a transcript was available for the two classes I took.

I also may or may not have an additional letter of recommendation.

I also assume that I'll have to send these materials separately to the Yale Admissions Office.

My question is: what address do I send all of this stuff to?
Is it this one?
Office of Undergraduate Admissions
Yale University
38 Hillhouse Avenue
New Haven, CT 06511

That’s the address. I know this because my daughter also took college courses and had to send in the official transcript separately.

Okay, thank you. I wasn’t able to find anything on Yale’s website regarding sending official college transcripts or anything of the sort.

You could scrawl: “Yale Admissions, New Haven, CT” in red crayon onto your envelope and as long as it had the proper amount of postage, it’d get to the appropriate location. It’s not as if the local post office receives few items addressed to that recipient.

Unlike electronic mail, snail mail can actually be handled by a human who can direct it further.

Actually, depending on your choice of carrier, that might not be the correct address:

[Application Instructions & Components | Yale College Admissions](http://admissions.yale.edu/instructions)

“You could scrawl: “Yale Admissions, New Haven, CT” in red crayon onto your envelope and as long as it had the proper amount of postage, it’d get to the appropriate location.”

I once sent a letter to my brother addressed:

Bill (Lastname)
Bill’s College
Billville, MA

It reached his Williams College mailbox less than a week later!

thanks for the information
