do u have to specify which school you are applying to in Stanford uni when applying ? for eg. school of engineering or school of humanities and science.

Stanford requires that all undergrad freshman apply directly at the general university first.... im pretty sure... id have to double check the website... that way they can figure out you "intellectual vitality" by different adcoms.

No, you apply via the Common App; Stanford has a supplement, but it does not mention anything about which school you're applying to. All applicants are considered to be undeclared in their major. As Ambitiousteen said, you apply and are admitted directly to the university, not any specific school. Once you get to Stanford, you can go to (or even switch, if you feel so inclined at some point down your undergraduate road) any school you want.

Yah.. i think Harvard/Stanford all use the Common App+ Supplement.

Thanks Kyledavid80 for clearing what i said etc... i was not sure lol.

That's a huge relief! Thanks for the helpful input guys, really appreciate it.
