Application question

Are you currently, or have you ever been, charged with, or subject to, disciplinary action for scholastic or any other type of misconduct at any high school, college, or university?

in 10th grade i got accused of cheating and got an honor code violation (i didn't cheat, som1 behind me had the same answers as me so i was accused as giving/receiving answers). A copy of the honor code was sent to my house, but i did not get an meeting with the counsellor about it as the form said I would. I also did not receive any other punishment: no suspension or detention.
So, my question was do I include the cheating accusation? I have been told that this question only asks if you have basically been suspended, because it says 'have you ever been subject to disciplinary action' which I have not been. So...do I put no as the answer for the question? Because I have also been told that honor codes are handled by the counsellor. I talked to him about it and he said i shouldn't be worried. I have not been accused more than once and I think that the counsellor believes me.
But thats not the point of the subject, I just want to know if the question includes Honor Code violation without punishment.

I noticed that they ask this question on every application I have filled out so far (3 total) so I am pretty sure that this question just relates to suspensions. But, I just want to make sure. Any advice would be great, thanks.

bumpp........

can anyone please help me?

I think you need to read the question very carefully. If it says only "Have you ever been suspended?" then you can honestly say no.

Sorry, I just reread your post and see that the question says "disciplinary action." Is an honor code violation considered a formal disciplinary action at your school? If not, you can forget about it.

i do not know, how can i find out? should i ask my counsellor or is could there be a reference on the school website/handbook?

If you can't find it in the school handbook, maybe you can find it in the district policies (which are usually online these days). I really don't think it would be a formal disciplinary action but that's just my opinion. I would ask your counselor if you can't find it anywhere else.
