hi
I see many ppl posting a long list of EC's in this website. Where do you write them in the application, since there's only a small space for each EC? If i have a lot of other achievements, say in soccer, where do i put it??
Also, can i send a recommendation from my coach (if it's a sport i'm very involved and passionate in)?

A) It's generally considered a bad idea to write in a long list. Pick five things and focus on those. MIT wants to move way from the "laundry-list" students.
EDIT: I guess I didn't really answer your question. If you want to include all this stuff, print out a resume and send it in. I would strongly recommend against this, however.

B) Yes, any recommendation that shows insight into you not available in your other recs would be a great thing to send. Don't send more than one or two supplementary recs though.

a) what i meant is...where do I expand on one particular EC? I do not intend on writing about everything because i'm only serious about 1.
b) the 3rd letter does not have to concern with any academics stuff at all right?
thanks, timur

A) Your essay would be a good place, or the second completely optional essay.
B) Nope. The primary purpose of your recs is to evaluate your character.

Best of luck,

thanks a lot timur...and good luck on ur apps for 2010!

As odd as it is, I don't believe in luck. I just kinda stick it in there to be nice. :P.

But thanks! :D
