When does the UT Austin Apply Texas application open? I want to apply early as possible (with rolling admissions) to get it out of the way and hopefully get a response quickly so I can decide if I need to apply to different or fewer schools. How fast is their response time? Thanks!

Hey, I actually recently emailed my admissions counselor about this question because I thought applying early would give me am earlier decision and he told me that applying early doesn’t provide any benefit because they do not release their decisions until the beginning of March. However, the application opens August 1st and the deadline is December 1st.

However, UT has a weird housing process where you can apply for housing before you are admitted and they assign housing based on when you applied for it. So if you really want to go to UT, applying early may still be beneficial because if you end up going, you get priority housing picks.

It opens august first be the first to apply trust me it increases chances of acceptance and scholarships. They really give put scholarships first come first serve. That’s how I got a full ride to a&m even with lackluster scores. They said I was the first app they received and at that time I had no competition for scholarships so they gave me $$$ for what I was eligible for. I competed the apply texas in one sitting. Spent the summer preparing resume and essay

If your auto first if not auto then not until February 28th long assssssssssssss wait

@135pipe The problem is that my school will not have transcripts or recommendations ready until early September. Should I still submit my application early and wait for the transcripts/recommendations to get there?
Thanks!

also, I am out of state

Yea absolutely being oos you know how hard it is to get in. So be prepared I advise applying for a second major that is a lot easier to get into liberal arts or undeclared

All you have to do is complete apply texas then ut will send you your username to check your app online so finishing it all in September is ok. As long as they get apply Texas on the first you are good. Also can you post your stats I would like to see your chances. What state are you from?
