<p>I just received an email saying that my application has been received and that I should schedule an interview....however, i did not send in the common app yet (only the supplement...about 2 months ago, and they already sent a confirmation email for that). So what exactly is going on? Has anyone else received this email?</p>

<p>I did. Haven't been able to reach the admissions office, though, so I don't know why they sent it.</p>
<p>go onto the wustl.edu website, in the area for undergraduate students, and there is a spot where you can sign in with your name and birthdate and last four digits of your ssn, and it will tell you exactly what Wash U. has received - and what they have yet to receive. It is also the spot where you can find your admissions decision days before you would recieve the letter.</p>

<p>Ohhh, I just looked at the page. It has changed since my girls applied. You DO need a confirmation number - not just your ssn. I suggest you email your admissions counselor.</p>
