i was just wondering whether it was normal for an ED applicant to get no updates, responses, or requests from UPENN after submitting his/her application…?
I got the letter which tells you that UPENN has received your application; but other then that I have not heard from UPENN at all.
I have asked the two teachers whom gave me recs and my counselor whether UPENN has contacted them, and they all said no.
My stats are not those of “auto-rejection” and I believe i have a very strong chance of being accepted, but this “no contact” situation is bothering me a bit. Is this normal? What does it usually mean?

Same with me man. I asked my counselor about Penn contacting him and he said it was only for borderline candidates but hed let me know if they did call. All i got was the cards saying they got my **** and the letter with my pin thats it.

yep thats it
what else were u waiting for?

Maybe a letter detialing how great my app was and that i should start packing because im IN.

oh that? yeah, i got that. i thought stetson was just messin with my head tho

oh sweet... so i guess its actually good news that i havent been contacted yet... :D
and now theyre pretty much done with decisions; i guess i wont be contacted ever!
did you get an interview?
Im international; so its normal for me not to get one...

I didn't get an interview :(

I also didn't get an interview...whatever

No interview for me :(

my interview was great however the interviewer told me that because i was early decision, the interview meant nothing. he told me that the overall point is to convince RD appkicants why UPenn is great and they should go there, but seeing as how he already knew UPenn was my first choice, it was a waste of time. but we eneded up have a great chat for like an hour and a half and he told me stories and we made jokes and stuff.

ALSO, he told me that those rediculous interview questions like having lunch with a historical figure are stupid and if UPenn really wanted to know that theyd ask for it on the application.

he was really sweet.

^If the interview counted for 0% ED, then why would they have offered us interviews... ?

Maybe they want to sort out the socialphobic people.

Or they are giving interviews to all students that will likely be rejected so that no one can blame Penn for not giving every applicant a fair chance.

im sure the interview can help you... why wouldnt it be able to?

Yeah, honestly... How could an extra recommendation in your favor NOT help ?

People who weren't offered interviews are just hating.

haha i was just saying what my interviewer said to me...

verbatim lol. its not my thoughts on the matter.

so basically... all i can do now is wait 5 more days and see what god offers me haha...
but seriously... this was my first ever college application.. and i was just expecting like more communication between me and the college haha

^ umm.. isnt this everyone 1st college application?
