Has anyone ever tried calling Columbia to make sure all of the necessary ED materials are in? I want to call, but I want to make sure it will be helpful and is not discouraged.

Can you possibly imagine the chaos and confusion if Columbia desired applicants to call and check on the status or the possibility of missing items from the file?

Disaster.

Don’t call them. They’ll call you if anything is amiss.

Thanks. Does anyone else think it would be a bad idea?

Yes. Not necessarily a bad idea, but will probably lead nowhere.

I guess bsmith *can’t *imagine the chaos! LOL

It’s not a big no-no, but DO NOT CALL ON NOVEMBER 1 (or 5, the new deadline), for obvious reasons. Try a few days after at least, and only if you think something is missing for a good reason, not just a “OMG I DID YOU GET MY X” call.

If something important is missing, they will let you know.
