Hi everyone! I just checked my application status for Seattle University and it said “pending submission.” Any idea what that means? :-/
Hey I got the same status as well in my application since today. Someone please give us answer
It means you should pick up your cell phone and call them.
@T26E4 Well, that’s funny because I did call the admissions office. Twice actually and no one gave me a straight answer on what it meant. Just posted this because I was wondering if anyone had the same problem and had any info
I vaguely remember this being an issue for some people in my school last year. I think if you submitted you application before the due date it’s fine; it may take a while to process/colleges to receive it. If somehow your application didn’t go through, you should try calling. You probably have a receipt for paying the application fee though, if you have that in your emails I think you’re good. You should keep trying to contact admissions to be safe.
Well I think we have to wait until the 23rd. As it’s the early action notification date:
December 23 - Early Action notification date. Students who successfully completed their application through Early Action will be mailed an admission decision on this date. Students selected to receive an institutional merit scholarship will be notified at the time of their acceptance. Please note that most applicants will receive decision letters several days after this date.

@DaedricSaiyan @fungmanlong Thanks so much! I am going to contact the admissions office on Monday just to be safe! I called Friday and they stated that they had everything they needed, but I will ask again!
@brynlwrnc I emailed them but ended up receiving an automatic message:
Thank you for contacting the Seattle University Admissions Office. Seattle University will be closed for the holidays from Thursday, December 24th – Sunday, January 3rd. We will respond to email inquiries when our office reopens on Monday, January 4th at 9 AM. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Hope that they will reply me before Christmas and please let me know any updates if you’re calling them. I can’t cause I’m not from the US, cheers.
Seattle University replied me, the email says: Please ignore it. Your application has been under review and the admission decision will come out soon.
@fungmanlong sweet! thanks so much! good luck to you
@brynlwrnc my app tracker changed back to under review, what about you?
It says under review as well, but I got my letter in the mail finally! @fungmanlong
@brynlwrnc it probably takes ages to send it here as I live in overseas
It definitely does take a while to get here. I got my letter 4 days after the notification deadline and I live in CA. A quick question, how did you check your app status??
My daughter is still waiting for her letter. We’re in So Cal.
She did get a “big envelope” from SU last week (12/26), but it was just more marketing materials, with a letter dated 12/15.
I got the same one @arc918 I was so excited and I read the letter over about 3 times and scratched my head. She should be getting her letter any day now. Let us know!
@mntEden You can check the app status in one of the emails from SU, should ask your daughter
@fungmanlong I don’t have a daughter, I’m a student And I don’t think I got that email. Every other college ivr applied to so far has sent me something to track my app status but SU didn’t
@mntEden I was able to check the status of my application because when I first applied to Seattle U, I got an email stating my application was incomplete because I hadn’t sent in my SAT scores yet. They linked the application tracker when they sent me that email; everytime I want to check my status, I have to go back to that email! They should definitely make the process easier :-/
@mntEden you should probably email them and they should be able to provide your own link, but their office doesn’t open until Monday at 9am
