Application Status Question

<p>However, when I go to check the status of specific documents, it says that everything has been received. Does anybody else have this? Do I have missing documents that my admissions checklist doesn't list?</p>

<p>I’m getting the same message. Under my list of documents, everything is listed there except my Visual Sample (for SCA). Should I call the Admissions Office?</p>

<p>Again, USC receieves over 35,000 freshman applications every year and more than 20,000 of them are submitted for the scholarship deadline. Each of those 20,000 applications has 4 or more associated documents, which adds up to between 80,000 and 100,000 documents to be sorted this week.</p>

<p>Applicants who submitted everything before Thankgiving probably have their documents listed (and are sleeping peacefully). Applicants who waited for the last few - or even very last - day(s) to submit materials may have to wait a week or more for those documents to show up on their list.</p>

<p>You can call if you wish, but expect long delays in getting through to admissions.</p>

<p>I submitted it the very last day, 11PM and all my documents are under “Admission Documents” already.
It changes every day. Give it some time. If it doesnt change by this Friday, call the admission office

<p>if you applied to SCA, it’s a new system this year and will probably take longer for things to show up as received. I applied early, so early they didn’t even have a document for submitting the Visual Sample in the list yet. You can always call your admissions counselor. They’ll check on it for you.</p>

<p>Good! Then it is just an issue of USC processing all those thousands of documents. I recommend that if you still have a message noting missing information by about the 15th, that you email and/or call admissions to verify that everything has been received.</p>

<p>mine says the same, but it just recently updated to the 5 boxes instead of 3, so i am hoping what alamemom said is the case. it makes sense. i will wait until monday and contact them then if there is no change.</p>

<p>My application status changed this morning to this. Before it just said my application was complete and under review. So it was similar, but this is definitely a changed message and maybe means they’re updating everyone. </p>

<p>“Your application is being reviewed by the admission committee. We will mail notification of their decision by April 1. If for some reason you don’t receive our written notice, we will be happy to provide the results over the phone beginning April 11th.”</p>

<p>My documents file shows 14 docs have been received, and none is missing, but the language in my status continues to state that something is not in. I submitted my last doc on the day before Thanksgiving. Clearly, the updating process takes a while.</p>

<p>Same here. The status was changed today to what’s shown below. Hopefully this means things are moving along. </p>

<p>@filmsRcool That’s what mine said before. For about a month, mine said what yours says now, but then it changed this morning. I posted about the change because I thought it might mean something. :D</p>

<p>If norcali’s changed the same way, it probably does.</p>
