My son submitted his ApplyTexas online application yesterday (including the two essays). He received an email late today from UT indicating that the application had been received, etc. When he checked the application status online, it confirmed that the application had been received along with test scores and transcripts. It also indicated that the essays had not been submitted. Has anyone else experienced this delay in processing the receipt of essays compared to the rest of the application? Thanks.

Not in my son’s case, it all showed up at the same time. I would keep checking for a couple of days, then have him call the admissions dept to see why there might be a holdup.

Good luck to him!!

In my daughter’s case, we submitted her transcript, expanded resume, and letters of recommendation by mail… they were all mailed in the same big envelope. They logged the resume first and then the transcript several days later, eventhough they were in the same envelope…so I wouldn’t be too concerned just yet…

You can have your son call the admissions office for confirmation. I had a similar problem so when I called to confirm everything had been received they pulled up my records for verification, and within about a minute I refreshed my status page and it was finally there. Not sure if they just hadn’t updated everything properly or if being in my records forced a replication to the website, but it helped to know everything was settled.
